It has been said by Outspoken mp Dennis skinner that David Cameron has done more to divide this nation than any other prime minister in history. Certainly this could be seen as true on the debating of brexit and the in campaign. And with a time now, that we all should be united over the corruption of the Tories, now we have another force trying to divide our nation.

We are now at a stage when far right groups in the country are now jumping on the bandwagon if dividing the country. One group in particular stating that they denounce democratically elected Muslims as occupiers who are trying to take over our political system.
Considering the definition of occupier is and I quote
A member of a group that takes POSSESSION of a country by force. Now as seen as they were elected in I’m not sure if that actually constitutes as force…………..I might be wrong
They also stated that people should stand by for a flurry of direct operations with threats of violence and harassment. Seem strange doesn’t it that these groups seem to be aimed at a better Britain but don’t seem geared toward outing a corrupt government. Threatening politicians in their personal life which in turn creates fear and intimidation and feeling the already raging fire of racism. I say again with the use of fear, but doesn’t the government do this, Didn’t David Cameron do this over the Third World War claim the n brexit.

So what makes these groups better than an already over corrupt governments? Is it really in face making a better britain? I question these tactics.
When this group in particular is mentioned

We glance opened mouthed and say how appalled we are at their past history and actions, that said you wouldn’t associate this group with Christians so why should be tarnish honest Muslims with this nasty group. We also hear comments from Islamic groups like this below and they are seen as terrorists…….need I comment further on that?

if you can not see this image please chack your settings
Far right groups are creating the divide as is the government, taking to the streets in threatening behaviour but this is what the government want. We are now taking our eyes of the prize and this is distracting us from what is really out there.
Tarnishing a religion with the same views as the minority in my view is wrong. This kind of behaviour should worry us and worry us a lot. The far right groups against Muslims are insinuating that we are being over run and our country is being ‘occupied’ by Muslims.

It was stated on a Facebook page of a far right group that by 2050 this country will be FULL of Muslims

Now bear in mind that as of 2011 the percentage of Muslims for the entire population stood at 4.5 %
However take London for example, In some parts of London half the population of the city are now Muslims.

But, take a look at this graphic

if you can not see this image please check your setiings
The numbers look quite high and they could to some appear worrying, But if you do the math, over the past 25 years this equates to

1,576 Muslims per week either through birth of immigration

Which is a figure that could appear to be less worrying, if you are in fact worrying. So Muslims are not exactly taking over!

Now go back to the Paris terrorist attacks and a far right group held a national conference in Sheffield where they passed a policy to ban the religion Islam within the United Kingdom and all its associated practices.
There is evidence that the KKK is practicing in the uk with news reports documenting the name Christian identity. So should we be having a conference to ban this religion as well as its associated practices. Everyone in this country has and should have to right to demonstrate. But when it starts to get less than peaceful it becomes a problem, And I’m talking about both sides.

There has been at the beginning of the year a backlash against what some Muslims see as islamaphobic stigmatism. Many have campaigned against the governments ‘prevent’ agenda which calls on communities to report suspected terrorist sympathisers. But we have the right to know if there are extremists dangerous to the society we live in.
In my view Muslims may not be doing themselves any favours by going against this, why wouldn’t you out someone of this mindset. Former equalities chief Trevor Phillips sparked outrage some time ago by stating:

Some Muslims will ALWAYS remain apart saying ‘it may be that they see the world differently to the rest of us

Quite a bold statement, but I know I see the world differently to some we all do don’t we? I don’t support or condone any extremists views of any kind no matter which group they come from. But also worries me is we are taking our eye of the prize.

These groups on both side are so pre occupied with fighting against each other we are forgetting the corrupt government and fishing out the extremists for these groups and holding them up for what they Are.
We should be trying to end terrorism in all its outlets and again the includes the governments as well. Not just members of factions like Isis.

STARBUCKS Vs COSTA: Who wins you decide.

What is there to say about STARBUCKS? What is there to say about Costa? Well, quite a lot I reckon and I like one of them SO much. Think now and decide which one YOU think I like, don’t cheat don’t scroll to the bottom. Read this post decide which one you like and see if we match. So…….here we go:
STARBUCKS (for me) is the pink little bunny sitting in the corner, doe eyed waiting for you to notice him. His holding a bouncy ball waiting for you to come and play. This is the coffee shop that is fun, it knows about adult stuff but it still likes sucking on chuppa chups. The coffee is good (really good) but again it is fun they are fun flavours, my favourite being the White chocolate mocha. This takes me back to when I was a kid, not that I touched coffee when I was a kid I would have been bouncing off the walls at that age. It reminds me of the cowboy with the glasses, the pure white innocence of THE MILKY BAR. Not so innocent if you look at the CALORIE COUNT, (just a little tip, ask it to be skinny and add sugar free syrup for a healthier option)  but all coffees from these kind of places are like that, it IS an indulgence it is a treat. Almost every STARBUCKS I have been in it’s hustle and bustle, and sometimes that isn’t a bad thing it wakes you up its vibrant, energetic and welcoming. Started in 1971 they have far exceeded themselves…. TAX, TAX, TAX, I can almost hear people shouting. MP’s expense scandal I shout back holding my placard with obscenities on it. Starbucks as I said is a fun place a place to take gran, you even have a lady grinning excitedly at you from every cup you look at.

And then you have COSTA! Costa is the big boy, wearing a pair of DM’s but with a suit to match. Costa wants to wake you up but he wants to wake you up with a shake, a shout in the ear and a word of motivation to get your ass out of bed. Costa wants to get things done he is the business man in a field full of clowns. The cups are almost regal in presentation no cheeky gimmicks……’your in Costa ya having a coffee and ere is one of our cups to prove it’. Their brand is what it says on the tin or in this case……what it says on the cup. The Costa joints that I have been in are reserved in comparison, no one talks loud it’s peaceful and you can get work done. I actually have a thermal cup from Costa and it goes everywhere with me. My favourite drink? Caramel latte and as the Barista told me the other day the milk has to be bang on 140 degrees, no more no less. My 2nd choice (as with Starbucks) is the CAFE MOCHA a slightly serious coffee, that stares across the table from under its brow mocking you with the sweetness of chocolate ‘ go on, go on I dare you to sprinkle!’
Say what you like about both these place….over priced, over rated just for a coffee. I don’t think so because you see, you’re not just paying for the coffee. Your paying for the ambience your paying for the welcome, the training that the person has put in to making you a ‘damn fine coffee’ (a scene reminiscent of ‘ Twin Peaks). In both places your paying for lounging about (if you can get one) on a big soft sofa whilst you take a break from the rushing around. Go ahead you deserve it and why not, afterwards you feel spoilt and don’t tell me you don’t.
Let’s not get into the whole tax evasion thing we could go on for days but, according to THE GUARDIAN NEWSPAPER :

Starbucks has made a small profit for the first time in the UK in 17 years with 791 outlets including franchised owned, the pre-tax profit was £1.05m.  Not a figure to be sniffed at and then we come to COSTA once again: Sales at Costa owned by Whitbread rose 17.2% in the first quarter of 2015 with profits estimated as early as April at £1.4bn.
These figures indicate who is the major player in the annihilation of a coffee bean placed in a grinder. Whichever way you look at it and despite the figures personally and almost privately we all have our favourite escape.
Yep you guessed it I FRICKING LOVE COSTA! Give me a Costa now…..give me a Costa at night, morning, now, now and then some more now………I could go on but you get the general idea.
Comment below with what is your favourite chain, and the 1st choice of drink. Give me some ideas and tastes to try. Happy caffine-ating people.

12 Months To Christmas!

I have not posted for a while it has been Christmas after all! It’s the new year and I plan to take blogging and my new YOUTUBE CHANNEL a little bit more serious. With all the chocolates I have eaten I could have opened a sweet shop. We have been on a eating plan for the last 6-7 months and have lost about 3st 4lb, so I’m not too worried if I put a couple back on. Christmas is always good in our house and always exciting as we have two girls in our house and they are at an age when they can express the appreciation for what they get. This year, gone was the slaving away in the kitchen for hours on end we decided very early on this year that we were going to eat out.

cat and fid
We had to book early, just a short walk from our house

It was ok but as I said we were not really paying for the meal, look at it from a different angle and we were paying for QT with the kids. We were not stuck in the kitchen for god knows how long, arguing about how thick the gravy is. I always say jokingly after the girls have opened their present’s “That’s it got to wait another twelve months to open some more”. And whilst that is true it is always good to look forward to a new year. With a new year comes new goals and new ambitions, and the ones we have in store are plenty including a secret holiday for our girls. At the moment our house looks like a war-torn street in Beirut, I like a tidy stress free house. I like a house to look like it is lived in not quite clinical so for me the quicker the decorations now go away the better, but that involves doing some gymnastics against the hallway wall as some one else has our ladders.

not our house but very close!
not our house but very close!

It is amazing to me how many people spend a fortune on wrapping paper for it only to be ripped, torn and thrown away. “Well it makes the present look better”. Really! I mean really! We are always told to never judge a book by its cover so, behold the looks when the wrapping is sometimes worth more than the present inside. This exact thing happened to me the present was celebrated, held aloft in all its glory for months but the details of its contents were never divulged. Then it was given to me! I am a very lucky guy in my life and I am grateful everyday, my gratitude journal will tell you so. But I think you can kind of tell the rest for yourself, I once got a musical tie from someone I bought perfume for every year £60+ then one year they returned the gesture. Where is the tie now? I have not a clue. Today is a day off to try to treat our house to some TLC, we have a new vacuum which today will get a good battering. I have one question, why when you take your decorations down the room always instantly looks bare? No doubt for years you have always admired the look of the living room, even more so if you have just decorated. But once the tree is down it doesn’t look the same, and it takes some getting used to.

We have other things to do!

  1. Our patio doors are broke
  2. Our toilet does not flush properly
  3. And we need to remove a sofa from the living room

These have happened in a very short space of time, very short so we have our hands full with all the other goals we have put in place. Am I looking forward to it? Yeah why not, why wouldn’t I there is much to do. Am I watching the Christmas clock in anticipation for the next one? ERM….. no is the answer we have much to do first!

Is there anything you have set down in the new year? Are there any jobs around the house that need doing? Have you bought presents already in the any sales? Let me know, you may even have tips on how to fix patio doors!

6 Tips for female safety on taxi travel.

New year, Christmas eve to be honest they are all the same. Its a night out full of merriment and forgotten memories of the night before, and embarrassment the morning after whilst your looking at the crazy photos. But when it comes to going out we can sometime feel a little insecure especially if our friends inadvertently leave us on our own to get home. As a taxi driver myself I often see females walking home on their own and it disturbs me, on a few occasions I have picked them up and taken them home for free as they have not had any cash on them. You wont find this a regular occurrence as we all have to make money and have an income.

After being a taxi driver now for a few years my female customers have told me many stories of what has happened to them, below are a few tips for THE FEMALES among you of how to be careful when getting a taxi home at this time of year.

  1. Never sit in the front of the taxi if you are traveling alone: If you are travelling in two’s sit in the back, and if one does have to sit in the front this lady should (if convenient) be dropped off first. It isn’t due to the fact that the driver may not be trusted, on the contrary it saves any misinterpretation of gestures and comments by both parties. Especially if the female is heavily intoxicated, which in fact if this is YOUR friend you shouldn’t send them home alone anyway. (unless you know and trust the driver beforehand)
  2. Never ever get in a taxi/cab if it doesn’t have a company name and number on the side or a TAXI top light: Black ‘London’ taxis quite often have the emblem COMPUCAB or DATA CAB. And to be honest these type of cabs are checked, then checked again and then checked just to be sure. Know the company that is taking you home.
  3. Take a business card from the driver:  ALWAYS ask the driver for a card  even if you decide not to use the driver or company again, IF something does happen that you are not happy with or if you think you have dropped something in the taxi you have a number to start at.
  4. Fake phone calls instil confidence: If you are feeling a bit weary of your driver once you are on your way, make that phone call to someone you know. Even if you cant get no one IMPROVISE pretend you are talking to someone. This may sound a little crazy but it works especially if you commentate ‘to the person on the line’ about where you are.
  5. Always, always, always, make sure you have money to pay:  Take a minimum of £20 and place it in a hidden pocket either on you or in a bag. There are drivers out there that wouldn’t leave a female stranded but they/we do need to make a living so there is a small percentage that wouldn’t give a free ride and they are justified in doing so.
  6. All taxis have a council number: Make a mental number of the taxi council plate either on the rear or from of the taxi, make a note of it on your phone once you are in the taxi. FRIENDS: make a note of this as well as you send your mate on her way.

It is despite common belief fraud, to hire a taxi and then refuse to pay or do a RUNNER and if the company or driver persue it you WILL HAVE TO PAY and police can be called.

These tips were given to me through talking to customers over a long period of time, how ever you get home over the festive period make sure you are safe in doing so. Not all taxi drivers are dodgy if any are actually at all. But it can be intimidating trying to get home late at night.

Now……we always buy Christmas decorations every year, the collection is always building. In my view you can never have too many fairy lights, imagine if you will the house from NATIONAL LAMPOONS CHRISTMAS VACATION. Yep…..that’s me but am I allowed, no! I am never by confirmation of my partner allowed to be left alone to put the Christmas decorations up. I went into our loft last year and found some that someone had left behind. A GREEK TAVERNER the MRS said, too many lights the MRS said, for me I was in my element. For our two young daughters to say the same, I have to admit the point was taken digested and a new approach administered this year.

This year we have opted for gold and purple, purple being her favourite colour of course. There are many shops on the high street that do a great selection, some expensive and good quality if your budget can accommodate this. The ones we have are from a chain of stores that some may never have heard of B & M.

Baubles at £8.00 good quality if you are watching the pennies at Christmas
Baubles at £8.00 good quality if you are watching the pennies at Christmas

They have a wide range of shapes and colours and if you are watching the pennies at Christmas this is a great way to budget.

Smal baubles at £3 for two

At Christmas many of us whip out the plastic and end up still paying for Christmas into the new year. With the added worry and stress of anticipation of the forthcoming bills.  With prices like this you could go as far as changing your colour scheme every year. Adding a bit of variety into the mix.

Combine colours at £3 for two

I for one was obsessed about Christmas trees, we don’t tend to have a real one in our house but it has taken a few years to find one that has a fuller spread like ours. We are yet to find a new garland for our fire surround and no doubt we will find one soon. I highly recommend the cheaper stores for decorations if they have what you want. Money saved on decorating can of course be spent on presents for the kids and family that come round. It was reminded to me this morning that THE RANGE also do a good selection of decorations if you are on a budget. We tend to stick to a budget on decorations and go crazy with everything else. Money spent on all the nibbles and treats that we get. Creating memories that last the entirety of next year whilst the decorations are placed away to gather dust until the next celebration.

It would be interesting to find out what colour scheme you guys are choosing this year.  LET ME KNOW AND COMMENT BELOW.

You never know I may well get some ideas so I don’t get into trouble anymore 😉.

Thank you so much to everyone that has followed me so far and is interested ( I hope) in what I have to say and think. I have decided to set up a dedicated page to this s blog to filter out and concentrate all my thoughts.

If you have not already worked out…..I am a thinker a deep thinker I am very self motivated and like to think I motivate others to action and to thinking in the various groups that I am a member of.  I would be honoured deeply if anyone on Facebook could like the page and together we can achieve great things with great minds alike. You can access the page via the icon on the header or click the link below.

thank you

be amazing xx

I don’t disagree with the influx of ‘immigrants’ as such we all need help, if we want to create another and better lives for ourselves who can blame us. If you want abundance for your children you would do anything wouldn’t you? The thing I actually disagree with is the practise that we are being kept in the dark I believe we are not being told the full story.

I posted here yesterday that a video I shared on FB had been removed and it did slightly trouble me as to why information like this is being discarded. Well it has appeared again, half way through the process of me putting together some verses that I had going round in my head so, rightly or wrongly I included it in my latest concoction of pictures and muses. Now whether or not I will get blown apart for this I don’t know or whether or not it will be taken down I don’t have a clue. I like to think I can’t be reprimanded for merely having opinions, opinions I like to share.

None the less here it is for you to mull over, digress on what is contained therein I do apologise if you don’t agree but as I have said they are merely opinions of mine. Some of us have the same but unfortunately some of us care not to share them through the fear of repercussions. In for a penny in for pound my mum always taught me.

Above is my latest video…….feel free to comment, subscribe and share. I thank you for watching and send love and thanks to all the people who have followed me so far.  Xx

Im, shocked, surprised and stunned…………although I have to say I don’t know why. What is about to follow I should have expected, I mean I have come to ‘see through the smoke screen’ of what is happening around us, happening around me.
Late last night someone showed me a video of a reporter on sky news sounding off about the Syrian refugees. So I asked them to share it with me so I could put across my views on what I thought. Now in the video the reporter on the couch ( I can’t remember her name, blonde black rimmed glasses very pretty) said:

” I’m concerned and I think that we all should be that a short while ago Isis declared they were sending over 5000 (it may have been 500) of their soldiers hidden amongst the refugees that are coming in and that we won’t see it coming. Now my concern is that there are not enough checks in place, sure most of them are women and children but a lot of them are strapping young guys that are more than capable to fight”
Or words to that affect so, I posted the video that was originally posted by another I had no profanities placed on the post it was merely fact not fiction and just my opinion. I looked this morning at my newsfeed and it has been taken off, it has been taken off the page of my sharer and the original poster. But why?

With information like that being aired live on Sky news shouldn’t we be made aware of it more so in the mainstream? Why would Facebook, or maybe some external force instruct someone to take it down? And if that is out there then the government must have known about it and if this is the case then why let 30,000 refugees in without the strictest of checks…….to me it doesn’t make sense. It is almost becoming like we are being constantly edited, everything we say and sometimes what we do is being scrubbed out if it doesn’t meet with what they want us to think. It reminds me of a scene in ‘Good Morning Vietnam’ when Robin Williams takes the news sheets from the printer then the two twins sit there aggressively scrubbing out with a marker what shouldn’t be heard.

I tried to find a customer service number for Facebook to get some questions answered…………there isn’t one, well not that I could find anyway. So have we really got the right of freedom of speech or do we have to monitor ourselves and what we say. The news and other forms of media I believe are engineered to feed us what they want us to think. Things are kept hidden in case there is a public panic, but the panic would be far greater it you find something out that you know has been hidden………wouldn’t it?

One big question……….the newscasters concerns were aired on TV so the government must have known about it, IF they do then why is there and why have they begun an influx of refugees?

BACK TO THE GRIND: but it’s not hard work

I love my job, I mean I really love it, and when you get to that point it doesn’t seem like hard work. I have been registered self employed (all except when I worked at news international for 3 years) since the age of 17. I have to admit it is something I highly recommend you are your own boss and you can come and go as you please. But you have to be disciplined, disciplined in a way that you have to drag your sorry butt out of bed and make the effort yourself. You have to want to do it, nobody is going to come barking orders at the bottom of your bed demanding you enter the 9 to 5 like some brash drill sergeant ” give me 10 boy before you even leave the room”.

There are down sides, you don’t get ‘paid’ when you go on holidays or when you are ill but you make allowances for that. YOU control your finances, you know where the money is and where it is going. I have customers that I have to be loyal to, as they are of me. But, after a few days off with time filled with complete leisure and QT with the family (bonus) it’s back to work.

Shoppers only and no waif and strays, they are only on a Friday and Saturday night but even then……..I love my job. It’s a service, a service I provide with confidence that I go above and beyond with and all the things I have experienced have become tools of the trade. Being at home you can get stuck in rut and it’s easy to see how so many people do and why they become almost aggressed  by the daily chore of doing so. Which points in the direction of people when they retire, many people who finish their working life can vegetate, get bored and find it hard to get a hobby or something to distract them from the enclosure of 4 brick walls. Again you have to find the motivation to keep moving forward working towards more things to do.

Will I ever retire? No idea if I’m honest, I like to think of me and my partner sitting on a beach somewhere with not a care in the world………at some point! When that point is arriving I have no idea

But my point is this………..find something, find a job that you love. If you don’t love it what is the point? Life is short and it certainly is not a rehearsal, so why waste your time doing something that makes you miserable.
